How to submit abstracts Abstracts are welcomed in any of the symposium topics and related areas. Link to list of Symposium topics All abstracts will be considered for either oral or poster presentations depending on the assessment by the committee. Oral presentations will vary from 10 to 20 minutes, depending on the symposium topic and number of other presentations in that area. Presenters should be prepared to answer questions for 2-3 minutes and/or engage in a panel discussion with others in their symposium topic group. Poster presenters must be present for the poster walk on their designated day, and be prepared to verbally highlight the research in 1 to 2 minutes and answer questions.
Instructions for preparation of Abstracts Abstracts should be no longer than 350 words excluding title and author names, in clear English, in the following format: TITLE in capital letters except as determined by appropriate scientific names Authors First initials and last name. Underline primary author who will be attending to do oral presentation or answer questions during poster walk. Please footnote university or organization affiliations, with address, telephone, fax, and email contact information for primary author Background any statement about preceeding work and rationale for undertaking the study Aims hypothesis and objectives Methods briefly stated study design; Include methods where appropriate Results briefly stated chief results with appropriate statistics and pertinent discussion Conclusions limited to conclusions supported by results Suggested Symposium please note if the abstract is intended for a particular symposium topic or subject area
