Instructions for oral presenters at CAPGAN 2009

We are looking forward to hearing you speak at the upcoming CAPGAN 10^th congress on Diarrhoea and Malnutrition.

If you do not already know it, you can find out the day of your oral presentation on the CAPGAN website at 10ccdm_glance.htm or

Unless you have been otherwise notified, all symposia are 55 minutes in length with three scheduled presenters. This means that each presenter should plan to spend no more than 15 minutes speaking, allowing for a few minutes afterwards for audience questions and responses. Please keep to your allotted time. The moderators for each session will be allowed to make decisions regarding the timing of questions – immediately after each presentation or at the end of the session.

You should plan to bring your powerpoint presentation to the congress on CD or flash drive for easy transfer to the IT system for projection. Please deliver your presentation to the IT personnel no later than 5pm the night before your talk.

Alternately, you may send your presentation ahead, no later than August 10^th, to the conference Scientific coordinator at capgan2009@gmail.com. Thursday presenters should take this option if at all possible.

Please title your presentation (give it an electronic name) with your last name and then the first few words of your title. (Please do NOT title your presentation CAPGAN 2009, because then it will be very difficult to tell the many electronic presentations apart).

At the time when your presentation is transferred to the Congress system, you will be asked if you give permission for your presentation to be transferred to a PDF format (to prevent unauthorized piecemeal use of your slides) and included on the CD for distribution at the end of the congress. You can choose to be included or to decline to have the presentation widely distributed. Only presentations received prior to noon on Friday, August 14^th will be considered for inclusion.

All presenters are encouraged to participate in the compilation of the list of feasible implementations to improve child healthy in Africa. Send your single sentence to the scientific organizer at capgan2009@gmail.com.
